Realities of Small Business Ownership

Hearing people describe the early days of starting their business always reminds me of Shackleton's ad:
"Men wanted for hazardous journey, small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful, honor and recognition in case of success."

I used to think entrepreneurship was for suited for everyone. "How could you not want the adventure and freedom to pursue something that you love?"

I'm still wrestling with that question, but far fewer people are ready to bleed for the pursuit than I thought.

If you're walking the path, keep going.
